HELP 97 crown vic high beams stay on

hi my high beams stay on,i did turn them on they just came on.the indicator light on the dash come on when i turn on the lights.and my run light don t work .help:banghead:

Sounds like the high/low beam switch died. It is an integral part of the MFS (MultiFunctionSwitch) aka: Turn signal switch, so you have to replace the whole thing.

Easy job, 15 minutes. The only "special" tools you need are a set of "Torx" screwdrivers.

Yup. three screws and the cover is loose (you cannot remove the upper cover because the shifter runs thru it, but it does not matter).

If it's a Canadian model with drl, disconnect the daytime-driving-lights harness on the rad support.
