hey im new to the mr2 scene just picked up a 91 mr2 turbo for 8 it had a blown transmission and smashed window :devil: but i got a hook up with those so i dont care but my real question is what do you guys think of the 86 mr2 my friend just told me about it cauz he wants to pick it up and i dont really know much about it anyone hellp me out?

1986 MR2 .... can you say street legal, very fast go-cart????? I drive an 86 and I love it..... My husband also drives an 86 MR2 both are NA. if I had to choose between the mk1 and the mk2 I would actually pick the mk1. The mk2 is too bulky for my taste!

Dude The 86 turbo is pretty damn slow, even when it comes supercharged. The body is not to great either. The only thing it has going for it, is the fact that is was the first model of the MR2. Kind of a classic. I guess it would be inda cool to fix one up since I haven't seen one fixed up on the streets yet. I'd go with MKII any day.:bandit:
