Hyp ~ Mclaren Lm vs...jcsaleen 05-05-2006, 08:57 PM I really think this would be the best battle of all time (Imo) The Xj220 Twr and the saleen S7 competition. I really have thought long and hard on this and there both very equal and both are HDF's of there big brothers, All mean't for track use... What do you guys think... Name: Hp: Tq: weight: engine: Mclaren Lm 680:550+?: 2415: V12 N/a XJ220 TWR 680: 513: 2315: V6 Bi-turbo S7 Competition 680: 650+: 2550: V8 N/a Also Fun fact ~ Numbers produced Mclaren Lm 5 (You should know that) XJ220 Twr 5 S7 Comp 1 peter i 05-07-2006, 01:55 PM You just give me an idea of "Ferrari Enzo FFX VS MclarenF1 GTR or LM" !!!! amanichen 05-07-2006, 02:06 PM You just give me an idea of "Ferrari Enzo FFX VS MclarenF1 GTR or LM" !!!!The FXX cranks out 800hp, while racing F1s have 600hp. The FXX would easily win. peter i 05-07-2006, 03:10 PM http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:86I2xrOv5CqR4M:www.iol.ie/~donohoer/McLaren_F1_GTR_longtail_prototype_front_quarter2.j pg this monster output more then 700++ & above ? X anyone ? http://lrg.zorpia.com/0/787/5040677.a87889.jpg ps: The FXX (whatever ) More heavy then this ...so there will be a match (No standard vs standard spec) am I right ? :D amanichen 05-07-2006, 04:30 PM In race spec the 97 GTR has 600hp. Derestricted I'm sure it would be around 680hp, but it never raced like that. Power to mass ratio: FXX: 800hp/1155kg = 0.6926 97 GTR: 600hp/915kg = 0.655 This alone would give the FXX an edge. Remember, brake, tire, and suspension technology have advanced as well. jcsaleen 05-07-2006, 07:22 PM Good Call /\ The Fxx is much heavier... You always have to incompase weight into a true supercar comparison. peter i 05-07-2006, 09:29 PM Sorry , Everyone . (a little correction) :D It is a "GT (Longtail) Road Version" !!! Anyone have more detail ?? update* Found.... F1# 627Hp GT# 627Hp LM# 668Hp GT-R # 636Hp >_< No 700Hp version ? ps: after 200mph the "Drag" effect add more wight to FXX about 2 tan ? is this an advantage to F1 ? jcsaleen 05-07-2006, 09:50 PM Was there ever a 1000 hp GTR? I remember seeing that on QV500. That fina GTR... Can anybody clarify? peter i 05-07-2006, 09:53 PM I dout about it :p No way a N/A V12 engine can reach 1000Hp. jcsaleen 05-07-2006, 09:58 PM McLaren & G Murray ~ Anythings possible! peter i 05-07-2006, 10:02 PM Btw , any Engine Spec sheet on this one ? http://a0.cpimg.com/image/AE/2E/49331630-16a7-028001E0-.jpg amanichen 05-07-2006, 11:25 PM >_< No 700Hp version ?A couple of customer cars received high output engines, but there's never been any solid figures on their performance. ps: after 200mph the "Drag" effect add more wight to FXX about 2 tan ? is this an advantage to F1 ?McLaren has never published any aerodynamic data for the any of F1 GTRs, so you can't make any comparison. tortoise 05-08-2006, 05:44 AM A couple of customer cars received high output engines, but there's never been any solid figures on their performance. They were identical to the engines in the LMs. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
