You need to do is save up $ for a swap once you blow up your HF engine. The HF engine is garbage for performance, it's purely ment for fuel economy. There are other ways of getting power without having to spend all the $ for a B-series swap. A turbo'd D-series can be just as good or better than a straight swap. So if you're set on performance, there's always the D16A6 ('88-'91 Si) or D16Z6 ('92-'95). Other than that you're stuck with a slow economy engine, and there's nothing you can do about it if you're not willing to swap.

I saw the same question on another post, and I believe the analogy was, boosting an hf motor was similar to giving a chihuahua steroids, its just not a good idea. The actual motor itself isnt set up to handle the complexitites of boost. Swaps arent too expensive especially if ya go with a d series engine. I put a DOHC ZC in mine personally... its the best D series engine out there and let me tell you what it sure did make a differance as opposed to the stock d15.
