Is it possible to take an engine computer out of a 2000 CVPI and swap it with a computer out of a F-150? Same model year both have a 4.6 engine. Will the computer give upgraded performance to the truck? Is it even compatable?

The performance "difference" is in the F-150's knock sensor, intake, cams and exhaust valves (all of which offer higher power than what your stock '00 CVPI has).
You CAN dramatically improve your power by installing a "PI" intake and cams (if you are game- the intake alone is worth 30 HP at 6500).
