cv axle and ball joint

Hi everyone! I have a friend who has a 97 quest with over 100K miles. He says that when heturns he can hear a cluncking sound underneath the car. I told him that it could be the cv joints going bad. He wants to replace them. Both. Saturday we will try to replace em. He also wants to replace the ball joints once we're at it. Can you guys give me any tips or suggestions on how to replace the cv axle or the ball joints. Any prblems you guys come upon doing this and how you solved it. Do any of you know the axle nut size? Thanks for any replies. BTW I did search but no topics came up!

first I havent seen ball joints go bad that offten in a quest but axles just dont hold up well the same goes for motor mounts . I would check the ball joints for play before that repair.. the c/v axle bolt is a 32mm the drivers side is fairly simple the passenger side is a little more complex due to the axle carrier .
