ultimate sleeperMrBrown 05-04-2006, 01:58 PM I have a dream. That dream is to swap in a 2002 camaro ss LS1 383 stroker motor with a 6 speed. I have recently been offered to buy a totalled camaro from my stepdads friend that already has the stroker kit and AFR cylinder heads W/ a comp cams camshaft. What do you think? Any comments or advice as to how I should go through with it? I'm taking the clutch assembly and the slave cylinder. In a couple years, hopefully I will have the funds to do this. kahjdh 05-04-2006, 04:11 PM the swith to manual tranny will prob be the hardest part GreyGoose006 05-04-2006, 04:15 PM why, all you have to do is find a good place to drill a hole in the floor? silicon212 05-04-2006, 08:23 PM and add a clutch pedal and related hardware... broughy84 05-04-2006, 09:42 PM And hang a clutch, and run hydraulics, and put a slave cylinder in. broughy84 05-04-2006, 09:42 PM And hang a clutch, and run hydraulics, and put a slave cylinder in. Blazin_Jason 05-04-2006, 11:29 PM Go for it. If I had that offer I would do it for sure. I would only toss in the 6 speed though, since I like my motor. MrBrown 05-07-2006, 10:59 PM i'm talking to the insurance company now and i either have to get a salvage license or have my dads friend buy it. they are talking around the sweet price of $4,000 to $7,000. they haven't had it officially apraised yet so i will hopefully here back soon. I also hope to get some tubular upper A-arms so i can fit the salvageable ZR-1/ss camaro wheels on the caprice. I got a free ZR-1 wheel and it didn't clear the upper a-arm. GranniesCaprice 05-09-2006, 07:21 AM http://www.bigfastcar.com/ They sell kits to convert B-bodys to a T-56. Seem a little pricey though. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
