I am a 27 yo female thinking about getting a 2002 rsx premium (canada).

what are (if any) the advantages of getting a triptonic transmission (what acura calls a 5 speed "sequential sportshift" versus a manual transmission?

The sequential sportshift transmission allows you to shift without a clutch. You can just move it into the gear you want (upshifting, downshifting, etc.). However, the first gear will automatically shift to 2nd if you wind it up too much. I wanted a manual transmission but they didn't offer it on the CL in 2001 (although they do now).

I never use the sequential sportshift feature. It's not really shifting and therefore not as much fun. Plus living in Phoenix, there is a lot of traffic. I've also heard of a lot of trouble with that transmission (but I think it's mostly the older models (like my 2001).

The silver is a nice color for the RSX.
