Fuel Filter location in VW Passat 96

Hi,

I have a VW Passat GLS (4 Cyl), year 1996. I want to change the fuel filter in the car but would like to know where it is located. Can someone please guide me?

It is on the passenger side in front of the rear axle. It is covered by a plastic dust cover.
