So today, i put my jdm front end on my prelude. took it out for a drive, and ended up a victim of street racing. two cars were street racing and one cut into my lane causing me to swerve and some how end up doing a 180 into an airport fence. :disappoin damn street racers...

wow, thats only really fucked up. You should have called the police and gave them vehicle descriptions at least, since I'm guessing you weren't able to get either of the two dumbshits' plates.

oh i called the cops. took em 45mins to get there and then they accused me of street racing :screwy: they said my story doesn't add up. they said they have a witness of me running reds and racing a viper WTF then they said civic WTF. and i have 0 discription, other than a grey jetta, but that wont get me far. so im stuck with 3000+ worth of dmg, 3000 worth of mods destroyed, and i have to pay for 50ft of chainlink fence i landed on.... if God's givin me a sign to stop tuning it sure is a big fuckin sign. the cops said ill have a street racing citation mailed to me if the "eye witness" can ID my car...... and it didn't help that the wrecker that came to tow me, had a wrecked viper on the bed:disappoin

2 years ago, my 19 year old niece was killed by street racers. They were going approx. 90 mph in a 30 mph zone. Her brain stem was snapped where she was hit so hard in her car. The guy who did not hit her is up for reckless endangerment and the stupid one who killed her is up for felony vehicular homocide. His trial is in September of this year. He will be going to prison a very long time. I don't understand why people risk others lives for some kind of rush! It's crazy. Trust me that few seconds of a rush is nothing compared to going to prison to be someone's girlfriend!

A honda prelude doing 180, sounds like you were speeding to me, you do know how long it takes for a prelude to get to those speeds don't you???

I street race every day. and never once have I had a car crash or accident.

that's not really something to be that proud of.....i have raced my GSR on the street a few times, but i keep it slow (like 50-60 in a 40 zone) and i still think that's stupid. I dont think that its worth the risk of killing someone else....

you're an idiot. just thought i'd let you know in case you are still subscribed to the thread.

the guys that ran l8r_h8r off the road probably don't know that they caused him to do that either. The guy that hit bernie22's niece probabyl didn't know a kid was going to be crossing the street, expecting whoever was coming down the road to be able to stop in time.

trouble doesn't tell you when its coming. if you think you're a badass for street racing, your an idiot. if you got the nuts, take it to a track and race against some people with some sense.

i street race alot too however, i do not do it on "THE STREETS" no bullshit f&f, we race in the country. and why are people walking in the street when 2 cars are coming? why do cars spin out? because shit happens that's why learn from other peoples mistakes! stop racing on the fucking street, race on a road that NOBODY goes on. there are plenty out there. where i'm at there are a ton. and there long and flat, just perfect for racing. with no kids houses cops anything around but fields. that's where you need to go if you ain't got a track. because the closest track to me is in mex. and hell no i ain't taking my car to mex!

Im with you for that! Im up north in Canada and there's no track around here so during summer when we feel like racing, we know a few places surrounded by fields. We also examinate the side of the road, make sure that there is no animal or anything that can be dangerous or unsafe. As for me im 25 and i have to admit, younger i wasn't that causcious...Im not giving me any credits for that but thank god nothing happened. As for you L8R_H8R your really unlocky! I hope your gonna contest the cops...

BTW, everyones here love's this adrenaline rush that you have when we race, so pls don't try look more saint than the pope cause im sure evryone here's have streetracing once in he's life....:uhoh:

Yea I agree, most of the street racing I do is in fact on a long strip just out of town where up to 200 people meet every Friday to street race, and every one knows about it, including the cops....... If not on Friday's I go out to to the country side........... I've only raced in town a 3 times and that was enough for me..........

Dude he said his car did a 180, as in a 180 degree spin...not 180 mph.

I cruise going to work around 80mph or so. Occasionally I'll come across a riced out Civic or some other riced out car. The guy, (pailer white than I am), is all dressed up like he's a Crip from LA, inveribly decides we should race. So he speeds up. I still do my 80-82mph with no change. It takes him FOREVER to bring his car up to that speed!

Why? A fin that adds weights and increases drag, an exhaust that gives uneven back pressure, reducing power and adds weight. Wooden stereo boxes etc that adds weight. Cut springs that reduce performance in many different ways etc, etc, etc. If this looser doesn't get a "running start" by about 1/8 of a mile, he can't accelerate from 60-80/82 by the time I'm upon him. Stupid ricer.

Sad part is...my stock Civic is faster than he is when I'm 50% throttle. Even sadder...he's one of a dozen who try to race every "Honda" that drives by them.

I just don't understand why people can be so stupid. OP, I'm sorry to hear about your car wreck. I've seen crap like that happen to other people I know. Next time, let the guy swipe your nose and try a "pit" maneuver on him. I did that to an '04 Taurus who was tailgating me and then pulled around me and cut me off. The concrete barrier he bounced off of totaled his car. I only had a 1/4 panel to fix and his insurance had to foot the bill.

Thanks for the support guys. Thought I should share some of the brighter side of the wreck with you.
When the cops were inspecting my vehicle to asses the damage caused by the wreck. They pointed at my amp controller and started questioning me about it asking if it was a "nitro button". Me and a witness couldnt help but giggle at the uneducated question.
I know this is probly basic questions used in most wrecks, but i donno. He started asking me reasonable questions like,
"Did you wear your seatbelt"
"Any bodily harm?"

Then he went into more humurous questions.
"was your window up." I replied. "Yes"
"Were you thrown from the vehicle" "..no"
"Were you wearing a helmet"
^^ I couldn't help myself, I just kept laughing

Most damage was suspension damage and ended up costing me a lil over 2500 dollars. I still have body damage that hasn't been fixed yet
street racers are gay :nono:

A bit off topic but what exactly is a ricer. Is it being used like they use noob in video games.

AccordCodger

A ricer is a Japanese auto (though apparently it's applied to Japanese brands, even if the car is made here - like the Accord or Camry), or motorcycle, or the person who drives/rides one.

Although it originated with jap cars it has spread to all cars pretty much. I think I have seen almost as many riced out neons, cavaliers and jettas as I have civics. Even new breeds have been sighted such as the RICESTANG. Anyone can be a ricer, all it takes is a few dollars and a trip to pep boys.
