I'm doing a 300ZX rear brake/upright conversion. I bought 2 sets of KYB rear struts, a set for the S14 uprights and a set for the 300ZX aluminum uprights.

I want to use the 300ZX uprights but notice the length of the strut is about
5" shorter then the S14 strut.

I have a set of the Whiteline Control springs, (25-40mm) lower.

All the S14 strut components bolt right on to the 300zx strut. It's just that they are shorter. I know by lowering the car it would be good to have a shorter travel shock.

My question is will the shorter strut/assembly be ok or will it be too short?
