Alright, first off I wanna say wats up to everybody in the nissan forum, i'm from the camaro forum. I just sold my 89 rs, and got a 89 240sx. I gotta few kinks to work out on it. I figured out how to pull the codes finally. Got code 12, 34, and 51. I'm guessing that 12 is the typical, ur computer is working code. I found out online that 34 - Knock Sensor ; 51 - Fuel injector stuck open. Is that true, and how would I go about testing to find out which fuel injector it is, and where the knock sensor is located. I haven't got the manuel for the car yet, so i'm kinda lost, always had chevy's. Anyways the only other problem is that the car has rust all under it , and on the body in some places. I would like to know the best way to go about getting rid of it. I figured welding new peices of metal to the frame, and using some kind of fiberglass on the body. All help is appreciated, Thanks.

as for the codes im not sure. that sucks that you got frame rust though thats a common problem happens all the time on them up north. that aspect of the car is kinda shitty and for the body parts well they are normally prety easy to find whats rusted on the body? my guess is if you have a hatchback then the hatch is rusted that always happens to all of them w/ spoilers. slidestar just did a fix on his hatch. but unless you replase the rusted part its basically always going to be in there.

hmmm...i had a 89 from wisconsin and it had almost no rust, although the body was a little abused. cant remember where the knock sensor is, but im sure someone will come along with your answer. isn't it most commonly the first cylinder injector going bad because its first on the fuel rail? i cant remember. gosh the number of times i frequent these forums gets fewer and fewer!!
