These pics are from BMW,s Mobile tradition display, at the Ennstal Classic in Austria 2004. The car was driven by race legend Dieter Quester.

Although Rowan competed, In his Jaguar saloon, there was no McLaren connection.

Anybody, wish to know the chassis # of BMW mobile tradition 97GTR!!

I don't believe it has ever been determined.

It shouldn't be #23R. I bet we could narrow it down if we really wanted to.

I know 24R wore that livery, but I think it's still in the EMKA livery as show on T&C's website.

The bold ones below are the ones I think it could be. I don't know which longtail GTR is at the BMW museum (the one in your pics), but I'm leaning most towards 21R or 26R unless someone else has more info on where they are.

19R is in LARK afaik when it was recently at SVAG.
20R is the Gulf Davidoff at McLaren.
21R is the blue/silver one that did wear a FINA livery. It could be that one repainted.
22R is under the Loctite or Davidoff livery
23R is #9 FINA at KS
24R I already mentioned
25R in Japan
26R Wore the FINA livery #43 at LeMans
27R Orange one for sale
28R Probably the #1 Gulf livery in Japan
