im thinking about buying an isuzu hombre w/ a 4.3 vortec 1997... im just wondering if theres anything i should know about them...the guy who wants to sell it said sometimes when it rains it has problem starting...but i remember the nissan used to have the same problem...is it just wires that needs to changed...other than that the truck looks and sounds clean

The truck you are looking at is nothing more then a Chevy S10. Isuzu just puts there name plate on it at the end of the production line.

Exactly. Same assembly line in Louisiana. Once you get the wire/coil/CMP problem fixed, it should run until the body rusts off. The 262 V-6 is usually good for about 300,000 with proper maintenance. Ditto the 4L60 transmission. Front axles and transfer cases (FWD) can be a different story, however.
