Here it is. I am looking to buy a good fuel effiecient(Around 20 plus) car with the way gas is. I don't mind older cars like late eighties early ninties. I only have probably $5,000 max to spend. Would like it to be sporty, 5 sp., and cheap/cheaper on insurance. Domestic is also a plus but would consider foriegn.
I wanted to get a early model cavalier Z24 but my friend has one so I probably won't, Beretta GTZ are nice but have bad head gasket problems.

what about a nissan 240SX. If you dont mind FWD (unlike me) then maybe a celica or mazda MX6. good cars, good on gas. A nissan sentra SE-R or 200SX with the 2.0 litre engines are wonderful cars. Sentras last and they take tons of abuse. A volkswagon Golf or GTi perhaps. I am personally not big on domestics. But check out taurus SHOs, they are pretty fast. but they look like a taurus. Im not sure on the SHO feul economy. Most sporty cars from the early 90s/late 80s that get good gas mileage and have good performance AND are reliable AND are fairly cheap are not going to be domestic

The more I do research the more I think the Beretta might be the way to go.
