Hi everyone I am looking to buy a 97-2000 dodge dakota... I have been hearing a lot recently that they arn't worth the money to buy. Can anyone tell if they have had any major problems or noticed anything that has went wrong?

I own a 98 Dakota SLT extended cab with the 318 V8 engine auto tranny with overdrive, and in the 8 years I have owned it it has had a starter, battery and rear end gears replaced. Not too bad for a vehicle that old. The rear end gears were not that bad, but it was under warranty and making a slight whining noise so I had them replace them. All in all I have thought it is a pretty good truck.

id say its good because its not as small as a s10 or ranger and not as big as a dodge 1500 or f150 id like better gas milage but its still really good for a truck
