lsd 280zxstephenp 04-20-2006, 10:16 PM anybody know if any of the lsd for the 240 would be able to bolt into my r200? they sell internal limited slip for r 200 arent all r200 the same DeleriousZ 04-21-2006, 02:25 AM no all r200's are not the same, they're all different prettymuch, however, you can swap the actual diffs out from one casing to another, as long as it's a clutch type lsd... you might still have to get different halfshafts. at least that's for the z31 diff, i'm not sure if it's different for the 280 stephenp 04-21-2006, 07:30 AM I just might have to check that out. Currently trying to throw enough parts at it to just make it whole. So after i get it all ready (far enough to run) I'll see about getting the lsd.... just was hunting one day and found them was sorta suprised. Thanks for the help. P.S. on that note if it comes down to it I can always swap my r 200 from one of my 300 for it than ayy DeleriousZ 04-21-2006, 08:34 PM if the carrier bearing is the same and everything measures out the same then you could try it... i'm not sure of the compatablility between the two tho so don't take my word for it -The Stig- 04-21-2006, 08:41 PM R200's from 280zx's - Z31's fit all S30 chassis Z's (1970-1978 240z-280z) and S130 chassis Z's (1979-1983 280zx obviously) and Z31's (1984-1988 300zx obviously). For retrofitting a R200 into a S30 you need a different mustache bar and half shafts I believe. The Z32's use a R280 differential, which is physically larger and takes some fabrication to get it to fit into the earlier models. I'm not sure if the housings from a S13-S14 R200 are the same, but if I'm thinking correctly, they're different from that of a Z R200. Otherwise, it'd be a popular swap into the older Z's from all the 240sx diffs in the junkyards. Speaking of R200's, I just picked one up for myself off Ebay... 3.54 ratio, I'll swap in a Nismo 2-way LSD. DeleriousZ 04-21-2006, 09:02 PM R200's from 280zx's - Z31's fit all S30 chassis Z's (1970-1978 240z-280z) and S130 chassis Z's (1979-1983 280zx obviously) and Z31's (1984-1988 300zx obviously).
