Howdy, I was wondering what would be causing the gas pedal to stick? It only does it when I go to take off. If I am going it doesn't do it but if I come to a stop it sticks again and I about have to spin the tires to get it to go. Anyone know what might be causing this?

I got a '00 Z-71 pedal also, and it sticks also. Its got almost 90k on it though. We just greased it, and its doing fine now

Check the butterfly inside your intake. I bet there's a ring of gunk around where it meets the housing. Carb cleaner on a lint free rag and careful cleaning will get rid of the gunk and the sticking problem.

I agree with pnewcomb1. The butterfly will hang causing it to stick. It seems to be worse when you park it and come back about an hour later. It can also cause the stalling that you were asking about in the other post.
