Aztek vs Ford Focus 5 door

I'm trying to decide between these 2 vehicles, they are both 2002, same price $10,000. The Aztek has 126,000 km, the Focus has 78,000 km. Both fully loaded. I have a bad habit of driving fast, so I'm told the 6 cylinder Aztek would be better for me, but I like the milage better on the Focus. I was also told that since the 4 cyclinder Focus motor would have to work so much harder that the gas milage would probably work out to be about the same for highway driving. I would appreciate some input on this. Thankyou in advance

Hmm i would go with the focus the aztek is awfully ugly. The aztek 3.4 v6 puts out about 185 horses and 210ft/lb torque kinda weak for a v6 And the focus varys because they came out with diffrent motors but i think the one you want the 5 door puts out 130hp. I'd be inclined to go with the Focus. It'll get better mileage (if only slightly depoending on how you drive it) and they handle very well. The Aztek has some cool features if you're interested in camping with it etc. but I can't get beyond the awkward styling. And in this case, the Focus has a lot fewer kms.

even if you are lead footed with the focus, you will still get better mileage.

the aztec is ugly as sin, it also handles similar to a school bus.

the aztek is built on a minivan chassis and is much heavier
The 2002 5 door focus comes with a 2.0 Zetec w/ 130 hp which is adequate and probably offers better acceleration than the V6 in the much heavier aztek.

I can also tell you from experience that the engine in the Aztek is a disaster area.
