My friends civic battery wont charge. Ran a diagnostics, apartnly the taillight toched metal and shorted somthing out, i guess they fixed this problem, but now he has installed 2 diffrent alternators and nothin... The battery light doesnt come on either which is weird.

Does the main alternator wire have a fusable link? Any other ideas?

I have a 1997 Lincoln Continental. I have just replaced the Alternater for the third time in the last couple years. At least the last one was still under warranty. Any ideas why I am going through so many alternaters. Is there something that could be checked that might be doing this.
