1994 Buick Regal GS 3.8Lgransport 04-18-2006, 01:31 PM Sup guys? Just found these forums and they are awesome! I went through the old posts to see if I could find the answer to my question but had no luck, so if someone knows where I could find the answer.. send me the link otherwise: i have a 94 regal gs... some issues i have figured out and handled on my own, however, i recently have been having coolant issues... i have noticed recently that my low coolant light has been flashing and the other night it came on and stayed on.. this happened last year and i was leaking out of my heater core, so i just bypassed it and put a new one in before this winter, however when i did that today, (And refilled the coolant tank) it did not fix the problem, and when i was driving today.. running errands and such, i looked down and had a temp of 260 (Yikes!).. here's the kicker.. my "Check Gauges" light has been coming off and on intermittently... so I'm not really sure that there is anything really wrong... my coolant wasn't even a millimeter low... any help to this strange behavior would be great! thanks! gs gransport 04-20-2006, 06:46 PM Well, I'm happy to report that I have pinpointed down the problem... a radiator, however I should make an interesting note to all 94 regal gs owners. When I ordered the part, the part they sent me was the correct dimensions, but it was too thick. Every parts store in town would have given me the same radiator as the one I chose. Upon further inspection, the radiator that will fit properly on the car belongs to a 2000 Lumina. So, if you should encounter this problem, make sure that the radiator they give you is 5/8" thick and not 1'' and 3/8''--- they just won't match up!
