Hi,

I'm still getting heat but the blowers only come on for the highest setting (4), which makes the engine stutter slightly. Any ideas what might cause this? I don't think the blower fuse has gone as otherwise how is it still working on 4?

Common fault on Fiestas.
The heater motor resistor needs replacing. Its on the passenger side footwell on a right hand drive car. Sit in the seat, put your right foot up as far as it will go into the footwell and the resistor is under the mat. Simple job to replace.

I am having exactly the same problem with a 97 fiesta 1.25 zetec that I have just bought. Only difference is that the air coming out is cold.

Is it the heating resistor in mine also?

my mk 4 fiesta heater blower works on 4 but only blows cold air how could i fix this problem

the valve on the bulkhead is probably faulty. this is the one where the hoses go into. easy to change. if only 4 is working on the blower, the resistor has gone as well
