Door panel removalulonggapo 04-16-2006, 10:35 AM I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, the front passenger side power window is stuck open. I'd like to take a look inside the door panel. How do I remove the door panel? denisb 04-16-2006, 06:25 PM Although this is how I fixed my power window, this write up is according to my 1990 model and is suggestive in nature. Since no two problems are the same I will not be responsible for any damage caused.. There is one plastic plug to take out inside the door handle (inside the little handle you would grab to close the door as you would sit inside the truck). Once the plug is out (take it out using a small flat screw driver watching not to scuff it up), you should see a phillips screw, remove this and the complete handle should slide out. There should then be 2 or 3 other phillips screws behind the handle. After this you only have to unclips the plastic clips without breaking them (that is the most tricky part. Now, if you want you can probablly take the door switch out easier. The black panel it's molded in should pop out with a little force. On the 90 it's just cliped into the door skin. I was able to take it out prying it with my fingers. Check the voltage and continuity. If you are looking at the harness plug looking into the connectors and the connector lock is facing up, you should have 12v from the bottom center pin and you should hav ground on the pin directly to the right of this pin. If either is missing, your problem is probably in your drivers door control. If you feel up to it and are pretty handy with electrical/mechanical components, take the main control out and clean the contacts. I cleaned mine and it fixed it. It's a little tricky to do, but take it apart slowly and observe where everything goes. It's not impossible. Good luck and if you need more input let me know. Denis ulonggapo 04-17-2006, 06:01 PM I was able to locate the screws on the door handle but I couldn't figure out how to remove the panel itself. I tried pulling it up but it wouldn't move. I had one hand on the right bottom corner of the door trying to take it off. I ended up breaking the plastic clip on that corner. :banghead: That put a stop to that. It looks like you have to pull it up to take it off. Will try again on the weekend. Thanks for the input 88pathoffroad 08-05-2006, 04:14 PM Did you pop all the clips off? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
