2.8 to 3.8 conversion ?

i was wondering if it was possible to convert my 2.8 to a 3.8 that i have on hand just by switching the tranny. Or will the motor mounts and all other vitals be off?

To my knowledge 3.8 is totaly diferent. The 3.1 from the izuzu rodeos might be somthing worth looking into.
