I have a 1996 blazer 4x4 4.3 and I replaced the engine with a 1998 4.3 and I can not get it to start. I have fuel and spark. Please help!

Did you get the computer and cabling with the 98. Believe lots of different things 96 to 98 and not sure if the 96 can be reprogrammed or relearned - need others on this one for the specific changes 96 to 98. Give the dealer a call on updating help cause I think the 96-97 is diff PCMfrom the 98-99.

Info found: The PCM is a programmable computer and does not contain a EPROM. The PCM contains a Electronically Eraseable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM). This unit must be programed before being placed in service. These Units can be re-programed for any engine / transmission combination.
