Electronic Antenna installation

My son went through an automatic car wash & forgot to shut off the radio, & the antenna on my 2002 Toyota Sequoia was bent over, we straightened it out, however, it does not fully retract or come out all the way-otherwise it works fine-I seen the "mast"-the antenna-only part is around $50-but the dealership wants to charge $100 labor-how would I go about changing the antenna-is it easy or better left to a professional? Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

Ask the person at the parts counter if he/she can make you a copy of the instructions from the factory service manual if you buy the part. Before buying the part ask if you can look at the manual and see if it is a job you want to tackle. (Hint, go in when the parts counter is not busy)
