I got this kit in a price I cant refuse its a Zhengdefu 1/16 plastic kit (never heard of the brand before) the kit has an engine and a nice interior. All doors and the hood can be opened and the molding is quite crisp. Can someone please tell me the exact model of this car in order for me to find some references online and also I dont like the box art is there any other way I can paint and decal this civic.

Hi sutan, I see you're from the Philippines too. Where'd you find that kit, and for how much?

Isn't Zhengdefu known to make those rather bad-fitting aircraft kits? The subject isn't bad though, do they make other car models too? I may be interested in getting some....

Did some googling and it seems like Jacques Villeneuve debuted in a similar car.

And I think that is what's called a 1st generation civic, or a Honda Civic CVCC.

Wow! I've been looking for this model for years... I know that Tamiya has produced this model kit around 15 years ago (maybe more or maybe less I'm not sure) and I've been looking for it because I used to have this car and was thinking to build one as a replica of my previous ride (Mine is a two door version though). Anyone know where can I order this on-line?

Let me try and look for the old Tamiya catalogue that shows the picture of this car if I can still find it. :iceslolan

cbrain - found it in a local toy store here in my city (bacolod) for about 350.00 pesos or roughly about $ 7.00 US. This is the first time i encountered the brand but so far the kit is ok, well detailed engine, minimal mold lines, rubber tires, chrome plated parts and a lot of other positive qualities. I only saw two kinds this one and I think the other is the 2 door type.

druid_99 - Im not sure if it is available on-line got the kit from a local toy store. I think the other kit in the store is the 2 door civic. let me check on that. If you find the catalogue can you kindly scan it and post it here.

i am still thingking of how to paint this car. it will all depend on references and pictures i can find online.

It's a shot in the dark but would you be willing to send one my way?

I would like to get my hands on the 2 door Civic since Tamiya hasn't produce it anymore. I'll try and look for the catalogue and if I manage to find it, I'll scan and post it here.
