It is so strange I will be driving and all of a sudden I have no power, the check engine light comes on and the gages start going crazy. Sometimes it will just all of a sudden reengage and all is well. Usually though I have to pull over and turn the car off. Most of the time when I turn the car back on it works again. It did this periodically and then the problem just went away for months. It started happening again for tree days and now is fine except it reads that I'm going 0 miles per hour and is stuck saying I've only traveled1.3 miles in three days. I am so confused and could use any suggestions anyone has. Thanks-----erin

sounds like it could also be a loose battery terminal. Any time i do electrical work on my truck, i occasionally forget to tighten the negative back down, and some of the symptoms are similar to what you are having.
