When replacing the rear brake pads on a 99 Silverado does the caliper piston just push back as you would normally do or is there some sort of tool required?
Thanks

The rear caliper pistons have to be turned in.

I just pulled a set of rear calipers off the shelf for that truck and this type does not need to be turned. The type that needs to be turned it the type that the park brake is run through the caliper. This truck has park brake shoes in side the rotor.
