I have searched the forums and didnt really find anything that sounded the same but if someone has a link send it this way.

I am looking into buying myself another mustang. The one that i am looking at is currently a no start (wants 600 obo) Its an 89 2.3 L manual coupe. When you turn the key over the thing turns over and seems to do it pretty strong, the only thing is it never fires up. At first i thought mabey a starter problem.. but if it was the starter the thing wouldnt crank over. My next guess would be something in the plugwires/cap/rotor or the coil. If anyone could help with any info that would be great i dont really feel liek payin 200 to get it towed down the highway to my house and it seems like it should be an easy fix.

Do a compression check.
Check for spark
Check for fuel
Check for air
Check to see if the valves are opening and closing when they should (bad timing belt or chain)

thanks for the advice! The guy said that he had been driving it regularly and then one day it just stoped starting. I figure i might low ball him 4/500 because im going to have to get it towed like 80 kmh.
