Today the car would only go into gear with clutch pedal half way down but now wont go into gear at all. If its a new clutch job, does the engine have to be removed.

No, the gearbox needs to come out but the engine can stay in the engine bay. About 3 Hours work involved to replace the clutch.

It could also be a damaged clutch cable?? Best to get a mechanic to look at it for a visual diagnosis
