I saw a user that had "cranked bars" under the pic of his truck in his sig. I assume he means torsion bars. His truck looked leveled out. I like that Idea. I have a 2001 LS 2wd and the front is lower by at least 1.5". Is this something a shop has to do? Is it difficult? WHat about an alignment afterwards? Any tire problems after torking the bars? Any difference in handling? ANd what the heck does a torsion bar look like?

Thanks!!

Sorry man, 2wd doesn't have torsion bars. You are looking at a lift to gain height.

hmm..... Ok whats the best way to do that? I am not looking for 4wd type of clearance, just an additional 1" maybe in the front.
Any ideas?
Thanks

coil spring spacers, about $80 on JC whitney, although you have to replace your front shocks with 1" longer ones which is like another $200. and then whatever a garage would charge to put all of it together, probably around $200 again. so its quite pricey just to lift the front about 2", or you could get rear shackles do drop the back 2", not sure how much those are but i think its a cheaper way to go.

I was thinking of changing the shocks anyway with some nicer ones. I have a mechanic in the family with access to full shop :) I just received a JCWhiteny catalogue and I didnt remember seeing any coil spacers, I am gonna go through it again and see if I find them. I want to leave the back alone for hauling purposes/clearance etc.
Thanks for input!!
