Thought I had a bad wheel bearing from the "whirring" noise from the rear passenger tire / wheel well. When changed wheel bearing removed and re-installed brakes (looked ok). But replaced wheel bearing and noise is still there. Also there is another (may be related) noise when moving and accelerating almost sounds like fuel through lines. However, when in park and holding gas pedal noise is not there.

Have you checked the Ujoints?

Check the parking brake on that side.
Sounds are hard to isolate because of the type of frame on a GC.

Do you know what model the rear diff is ?(a 35 or a 44 ) . On a 35 when wheel the bearing fails the axle shaft needs replacement also .
