Hello Forum,

Not sure if anyone noticed I haven't been around. Sorry for my lack of attendance and I hope everyone is well and I hope all your projects are trucking towards completion. But I need some advice...

So the day I thought would never ever come has come... Thinking about selling my beautiful 2+2 and just getting out of Z's all together. Now the advice I need is... should I sell my Z as is? I have sold my stock leather seats (front and back) and I have my SPARCO in it (only one seat). I have installed my STILLEN sway bars I got from X-Mas. As far as all mods, wheels, etc., I'd rather just keep everything on it and sell it. Would $4500 be asking too much? Any thoughts and or suggestions??? thanks...

Yours, Georgie :smooch:

If you can pick up a matching seat for the rear and another matching Sparco seat it would probably worth the money.

Meh... I'm just tired of some of the problems I've been having. Maybe I'm just a lil' pissed still about my timing belt coming off. I have't driven her in like a month. I'm gonna work on her on the weekends and I have some vacation coming up.

But over-all I just lost interest in the car. Maybe go back to my roots and buy an old muscle car or Rod. Something easier and cheaper to work on... I still have a few months left of payments on the car so I have awhile to decide. So if anyone is interested let me know...

Why would Arizona make any difference?

Why would you want to move to Arizona?

Why would anyone listen to the Beastie Boys?

ahh...Beastie Boys. i remember listening to them when i was about 7. those were the days...:D

George...being you live in california, this could either help or kill your chances at getting rid of it for a fair price. it could help beings alot of kids and the Z makes an awesome beach cruiser to pick up chicks but on the other hand, there are so many tuners over there that they may feel they need a Supra to compete.

i personally think that selling it and investing in a NICE Twin Turbo may re-spark your interest in the Z. i noticed that i got bored quickly with my N/A very quickly thus the need for me to do a TT swap or not drive it at all.

anyways, i would ask $5k after selling your Sparco and picking up some used seats from another Z. cloth can be had for very cheap and should be had for the amount you could sell your Sparco.

what are you thinking about getting? i have also noticed that i have lost alot of passion for the Z32 and it takes a couple of pictures and videos of some nice Z32's for me to hold on to and not trade it in for a C5 Z06 vette or BMW M3 or something of that sort. stick with your gut man. if the Z32 is just too much for you right now or you have no interest in it anymore, drop it but i suggest going an watching a few Z32 videos and seeing some pictures of some nice ones and see if that re-sparks your interest. go test drive a TT and see if its just the HP factor.

i have noticed that by removing alot of the vacuum junk and moving things around in the Z32 engine bay, opens up alot of working space in the bay. good luck whatever your choice. stick around, i plan a trip to Cali sometime in the not too far future. i would like to stop by and maybe we can hang out and you can show me Cali.

Oh.. one of the reasons for getting a different car for Arizona would be that I will be moving to a part where it snows in the winter. It's up in the mountains and a AWD or 4x4 would be more suited. I'd be moving because my dad offered ne to run his shop and learn the ropes up there... Funny thing is if I moved up there I'd probably have a '94 Supra TT since my dad still has his and wants to get rid of it. But obviously I'm gonna need a AWD or 4x4 for the rain/snow season up there.

I don't know... I sit and look at my Z and my dissappointment goes away pretty quick... but only if she was a TT. It makes more since to me to sell her if I move and have the opportunity to get a boosted car when I arrive at my new home. In time... I'd be pretty stupid to pass up this offer my dad set before me. Then again if I have a full machine shop to do my bidding... imagine the outcome of a Natrually Aspirated Z32... or a boosted Supra for that matter....

AWD=IMPORTED SKYLINE YO!!!!!!! or you could try to find a VR4, but I've heard HORRIBLE things about maintenance and gas mileage. 94 supra TT Does sound real nice though

pick up your uncle's supra and get a cheap beater for the winter. when you are a sports car kind of guy, buying a practical AWD car because of short winters starts to get irritating. i personally would rather drive a heap of shit the 10 days or so that the roads are bad rather than give up my sports car.

if you plan to move, i would sell the N/A and pick up something more of your liking once you get to arizona and settled in. whether it be a TT Z or Supra is your choice and there of benefits of owning each. maybe as soon as you get there pick up an old Subbie and then once things start to pan out, pick up your sports car. you can always modify the Subbie or whatever for Auto-X and have your sports car for cruising and street car purposes.

your choice, put a for sale sign on it and see what kind of hits your getting on the Z.

My dad actually has the Supra... and with a full machine shop I'm starting to think maybe I should just keep the Z? Imagine the possibilities??? No-Charge... just parts!

could be...

probably do just as well making your N/A engine a low compression TT motor. i think some guys are switching to N/A oil squirters when using Wiseco pistons. do a little research...i think your biggest problem is that you are bored. thats the beauty of the Z, unless you win the lottery, you will never been done modifying the Z. there is always something...

You'll do what I did with my '72 240z. You'll spend incredible amounts of money on it... have fun... grow tired of it. Sell it... get something fun (in my case a '01 LS1 Z28) find that you just can't connect to it. Sell that car, and buy another Z.

I've come full circle... but for me, it's S30 chassis or nothing. 240z is for me, the only Z. All else are just cheap immitations..... albiet more comfortable, usually faster and easier to live with every day.

Nah, that's the same car... just two different pictures on different days. hehe

And to answer your question, Panda was found on classiccartrader.com and Cookie Monster (this name is just something I've been throwing around, also considering Sonic, as in Sonic the Hedgehog...) was found on Craigslist.com

Before I do anything to any type of performance part on this car, it's getting rebuilt and repainted. I've got 80% of the interior parts that I need, still waiting for a few things to show up to complete the interior (all new parts mind you... which means expensive)... Then it's off to the bodyshop for all new paint both inside and out.

Then the fun begins... motor swap, suspension, brakes and fat wheels to hold F:245/55R16 R:265/50R16 DOT Competition race tires. :evillol:

If you can't afford a Supercar. Build your own for 1/8th the price.

Well, I'll give you a hint... fill in the blanks RB__DETT.

yeah i meant your last one and this one.... i've seen all of 0 in decent condition for sale within my province and the next one over....

All depends on the region you're in. If you're in an area that gets alot of weather, meaning snow n shit, they'll all pretty be rusted up. Those that aren't will cost huge amounts just for the fact that they aren't.

Here in Socal, you can happen upon rust free cars or cars with very little rust... or rust that is repairable. There is always something wrong with these cars.

For instance, this Blue one... the motor is real weak... doesn't rev past 4,000rpm. Not that I care... it just has to last me till the new motor is ready to take it's place. The interior is also shotty... I'm replacing it all, the factory interior is that light blue color. Very disgusting I think... so I'm tracking down all new black interior components. Luckily for a S30, the interior isn't very big so there isn't many parts to find. Just locating key elements is the hard part.

Neither of my cars were without their fair share of rust, just not a whole lot. This one has a bit more on the body than I'd like, but it's all small and just 'starting' so it's not a big deal.:)

Pfft! Akuma Zeto had a Twin Turbo, Carb'd L28!

Have you ever priced out how much it'd cost to build that damn motor?

Yeah, sorry... no... I don't want the headache of tunning Triple Carbs with turbos. Especially since all the good roads are usually at altitude, and I live at sea level. So the car would run like shit on the good roads, and fine at home... or vice versa...

Sorry, EFI and DOHC and a much easier motor to suck power out of... and Cheaper... is my route. A newer updated, more practical version of the fabled Akuma Zeto.

RB26... nothing else.

Basically what Igor runs in his GT-R Race car... same basic setup.

I'll try to get my hands on a pair of N1 turbos, Cams, Cam gears, full exhaust, large front mount I/C, larger injectors and ECU tuning... the usual deals.

If all goes well, it should well over 500hp easy on Pump gas.

2400lb car + ~500hp + full suspension/sticky tire combo = Budget Supercar...??

I don't know, was always bad at math.

It's been done, the AWD system, but it's so heavy and fits very awkward in the car. It's dumb to use it.

The people who did it, japanese guys, did it just to say they did it... it was a drag car only, the front wheels stuck out wider than the rear by a small tad... it looked rediculous.

Stay RWD. If it was ment to be AWD, Datsun would of made it that way. ;)
