B18b & B18c

i currently own a 98 GSR with a bad bottom end. i just got a new place and i am short on money. a B18 non vtec i can find anywhere cheap, and i found a conversion kit online for my vtec head, which taps into the side of the head.. is there anything else i need to do for this conversion? is the non vtec motor going to give me a power loss?

so you want to use the vtec head on a b18b block? they call it LS/VTEC...search on that there are too many threads out there about that topic...now if you want to just swap out the gsr motor for the LS then youll be going from 169hp to 142hp...and obviously no more vtec
