ok here is the problem:
On my '70 el camino my brake light works on only the drivers side and the turn signal flashes only on the drivers side. when I signal to the passengers side it only lights up but does not flash. also my dash light fuse keeps burning out. replacing the brake light switch did not help. Should I try and replace the flasher fuse or should I look at the signal switch inside the steering column? Would fixing the signal light also cure the brake light problem? the brake lights seem like they might run through the signal switch.
email me what possible problems could be and what I should look at first. my email is [email protected]
thanks guys!

You have a bulb out that is not causing the turn signal to flash (not getting the flash can hot enough to open, hence not flash). As far as the fuse blowing you have a short somewhere that would need to be traced.
