I have only driven an FC once and I was 17 at the time and 4 inches shorter. I was able to fit in it fine the, but I am now 6'8". If I decide to go with an FC as my project car, I would likely be putting in a new seat, so I would be able to put it further back (I assume) but I am just curious if anyone else has been in the same situation as me.

WOW 6'8" I’m surprised you would even try to be honest! LOL :p

In all seriousness though I’m 6'2" and my head was on the roof when I sat in the car. On top of that the non adjustable steering wheel made it absolutely impossible to heel toe properly, or at least the same way I used to. I have to change my entire driving style when I switch form my camaro to the tiny rx7.

I had to replace my seat after my first autox when I realized in order to fit in the car with a helmet on I had to open the sunroof and lean to the side. Not the ideal driving position to say the least!

I ended up replacing the stock driver seat with a Sparco unit and that solved all my problems... It took me two weeks to get the seat in the perfect position. I still have the urge to move it now and then. But I’m lazy

The only thing I would advise you think about is if you would want to move the wheel closer to you if you need to move the seat back for your legs. Being 6' 8" are you going to need to move the seat back far enough to intrude into the little cubby region behind the seats. Mines pretty close, I’m sitting over the region that was previously the home of those pointless floor mats for the back seat that I don’t have.

Yeah, my plan was to get an aftermarket seat. This vehicle would be a pure project/fun car, never a daily driver. I was also planning on getting a convertible version, making the need for head room moot. I have a very long torso, and just long legs.

The best I've seen was a custom taylored murceilago coupe for an nba player who was 6,11. That's a challenge. Just get some nice flat racing seats.

I am 6'4" and fits me nicely it's not fun to get rearend though but this is my third on, 1st and 2nd one were coupes and this one is a convertible and no problems just put the seat back all the way and move forward just enough to lean back a little but add 4" and i don't know if stock seats will give you enough room.
