As you know, this model has headlamps permanently on when the vehicle is being driven. The Left low-beam went off and I replaced it with a new bulb, making sure not to touch the bulb itself with the naked hand and after arduous effort to reach the housing. But still no light. And it's not the fuse, either, which seems to be unbroken.
Several days later the foglights would not turn on.

Any suggetsions as to what to check?
