It does not make the tin popping noise anymore either... Next is long tube headers... 97cavalier 03-29-2006, 10:46 PM he got me on it to, i am getting magnaflow after i get my headers hooked up. I've actually never heard a magna... are they the ones that have like 2'' long tips as an option? 97cavalier 03-29-2006, 11:38 PM i don't like magnaflow unless you have header, my brother has a 95 t/a lt1 with catback magnaflow and i hate it cuz it does not have headers and it is to quiet and pops alot. 666_speed 03-30-2006, 12:13 AM got a sound clip? 97cavalier 03-30-2006, 12:20 AM who me? no. 666_speed 03-30-2006, 12:39 AM no gold....but okay you too i guess...sure why not? goldz28 03-30-2006, 02:18 AM no gold....but okay you too i guess...sure why not? It does not make the tin popping noise anymore either... Next is long tube headers... I heard one LT1 with a magnaflow catback and it sounded beautiful and then I heard another and it sounded like a series of terrible pops and bangs..is that the tin popping noise? That goes away after a while? I'm thinking of buying one just for kicks, not driving for 6 months left me with some coin. goldz28 03-30-2006, 01:12 PM I heard one LT1 with a magnaflow catback and it sounded beautiful and then I heard another and it sounded like a series of terrible pops and bangs..is that the tin popping noise? That goes away after a while? I'm thinking of buying one just for kicks, not driving for 6 months left me with some coin. My flowmaster did the popping thing, this one does not... I like this better. When I get headers I will like it even more... goldz28 03-30-2006, 01:16 PM http://media.putfile.com/new-exha http://media.putfile.com/new-exha2 here are the two i have, one of them my friend is all, " Want me to rev it more" so its not just the car and the second one is just idle. I took these with my phone so it is not the best... 666_speed 03-30-2006, 06:00 PM thats pretty sweet goldz28 03-30-2006, 08:02 PM Ok so what is the main diff between headers and manifolds? Is a header going to change the sound that much? Mr. Luos 03-30-2006, 08:47 PM Yes. Manifolds are crap. Headers flow a bunch better. With a good tune, headers are good for 25 RWHP. goldz28 03-30-2006, 09:39 PM Yes. Manifolds are crap. Headers flow a bunch better. With a good tune, headers are good for 25 RWHP. Who should I go through to get a tune? Mr. Luos 03-30-2006, 11:04 PM Hard to say with you living in Oregon. Some shop that can edit your computer obviously. Or even a mail order tune from TSP or like shop. goldz28 03-30-2006, 11:26 PM Hard to say with you living in Oregon. Some shop that can edit your computer obviously. Or even a mail order tune from TSP or like shop. how about one of the programers I can buy form a auto shop? Mr. Luos 03-30-2006, 11:43 PM I wouldn't know where to start when it comes to tuning a car. Takes some serious learning. But if you want to, you can do it. Savage Messiah 03-31-2006, 01:41 AM Programmers... a good one is HPTuners however it takes a lot of learning and also 500 bucks Stuff liek hypertech power programmer don't waste your time/money on I'd check the HPTuners forums to see if you can find anyone nearby and if not I hear good things about both TSP and PCM4Less mail order tunes. goldz28 03-31-2006, 02:21 AM PCM4less, is that the tunes that John was talking about last year? Mr. Luos 03-31-2006, 09:59 AM Yes. Couldn't think of the name. They are pretty good as well, and not terribly expensive. But nothing beats a good dyno tune. Iron 03-31-2006, 12:27 PM I'd be looking for new headers if it didn't look damn near impossible to put on in my cramped engine compartment:grinyes: goldz28 03-31-2006, 08:48 PM Yes. Couldn't think of the name. They are pretty good as well, and not terribly expensive. But nothing beats a good dyno tune. There might be a place that does that in Portland Oregon, I will have to wip out the good ol phone book.. 92zcamaroperson 04-02-2006, 09:35 AM I should post a clip of my buddies 98 z with lt's and slp loudmouth resonator only.
