2000 Honda Civic CX pcv locationnitzer 03-28-2006, 04:39 AM I looked in the Chiltons repair manual and it says on the passenger side near the top of the crank case leading to the air intake. In other words open your hood look down where it says "HONDA" right above the spark plug wires come out and to the distributor cap. Look at the letter "H" then look above the about 1.5 inches then left about 4-5 inches you will see a black hose with a clamp on it curving to the right to a smaller metal tube leading to the black box about (8-9 inches) where your air filter goes to. That's where it's >suppose< to be,up top near the letter "H". However my wife has a used 2000 Honda Civic CX with about 67000 miles and all I found was a black hose w/ no pcv valve. I carefully clamped the hose shut w/ the engine idling at proper running temprature and the engine did not have a rough idle which means according to Chiltons the pcv valve is bad. my next step is to get under the car and look around the oil filter. If anyone can add to this please do because either the previous owner took off the pcv valve and just replaced it with a black hose or Chilton's is wrong. johnb16a2 03-29-2006, 03:31 PM Yeah looks like the PCV valve is under the intake manifold. The hose you need to squeeze is the hose attached to the intake manifold not the filter box. GL nitzer 03-30-2006, 08:03 AM THX...
