I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but when i start driving in the morning when its kinda cold out, and sometimes when its warm out, ill start going down the road and before it shifts, the jeep revs up 300-400 rpm then shifts to the next gear. Also, sometimes when i first start to drive, the jeep will go into 2nd and it's like it stops and jerks for a second, and only will go back to normal if I let off the gas. Im not real sure how to expain it too well, but anything will help. Thanks.

I'd try a fresh fill of fluid first.

i think it's done cause that's what my trans is doing it'll slip between first and second. the check ball probably froze up in the cooler lines and cooked something in the trans. that's what happened with the original one i put in. the reman i put in blew the cooler lines off twice and is now doing the same thing. the fluid change will make it feel better for a while but i think the problems will come back shortly after. sorry for the bad news. i've been there and still am there
