Does anybody know how to remove the outside drivers mirror on a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited? It is heated, has auto set to remote and auto night tint. The problem is the night auto tint has some kind of chemical in it that has sprung a leak so the bottom half stays tinted all the time. Very annoying. I just want to replace it with a regular mirror.

I have never done this on my jeep, but i did do this to my dad's pt, there is a plastic part inside the jeep were the mirror is located it simply pops off and there should be 3 screws to take the mirror off. It is all plug and play and easy to do

are you trying to remove the glass or the whole mirror assembly?
