94 mx6 will turn but won't startwayne157 03-27-2006, 12:40 PM good sparks fuel in injector rail cranks over very good new fuel filter ******but will not start !!!!! ****** any ideas? KE.street.styler 03-27-2006, 03:10 PM check the intake system. make sure the air filter isn't clogged up and that there's nothing blocking airflow. Change the air filter if it's any color other than white. Also, check your spark plugs and wires. Make sure that no holes have been worn through the casing around the wires. Put a screw driver into the end of the wires (one at a time) and let the metal part of the screw driver rest on the valve cover and have a friend turn the key. Watch for an arc between the screw driver and the valve cover. If there is no arc, do a full tune-up, distributor cap included! If your airfilter, plugs, wires, and distributor cap are all good, you may have to replace the distributor rotor. If the engine turns over, the starter motor is probably good. But if you check all of the above and it still won't start, replace the starter. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
