well this was one HELL of a day. saturday moring ernie, jeff and i head out to a meet in the bay, but first we had a little run, ernie is his SRT jeff in the M3 and me in the 325i, rollin towards the freeway on hamer we each pick a lane, me in the right jeff in the middle and ernie in the left sittin at the light we wait for things to clear up just enough to get a run in, and we each bring up the revs, neither of us really knew who was honkin down and since i was the slowest i figured i take a bit of a head start so i feather the clutch and take off, ernie follows and jeff behind him, now up until the middle of second i was ahead, and in a flash ernie blasts by me, shifting with his BOV screaming and jeff in close second, but we were comin up on traffic so we slowed it down. after that we hopped on the freeway and started the treck to san jose, for the first part of the meet, the weather was nice but there were a few patches of heavy rain but other than that it was a nice drive, well as we get into the san jose area we come to the toll booth at the dunbar bridge, not knowing how much cash i had on me i scramble through the cup holders in my car trying to find enough change to pay the three damn dollars, only had my ATM card with me, so i pay the toll after about a minute of mad scramble, now ernie and jeff are out of sight and im thinkin SH*T i dont know where in the hell we're goin so i had to play catch up in the rain, which probably wasn't the smartest idea but it had to be done, so i stomp it, and spin through first just out of the toll booth i hit second and shift up until about 95, traffic was extremely light, only a few cars here and there so i made my up to ernie who waited back for me... so into san jose we are and apparently we were late for the first stop in the meet, and we lost ernie who got stuck at a red light... but we found him at a shell station around the corner and headed towards SF, here's where things got interesting. i dont remember where the second meet spot was at but its right by the golden gate bridge, so for about two hours we wandered through frisco looking for this stupid place that was back in the trees, and we ended up finding it by luck... but we got there in time. so after the meet and greet by the three from stockton we headed out to the next meet spot, which was at treasure island. but again things got interesting, the people who were "leading" the way had no idea where they were going so three cars pull off into the middle of an off ramp and i ended up taking the wrong exit behind this guy AL from the Bimmerforums and jeff and ernie followed the rest of the crew out to some local safeway, so Al and i waited for like thirty minutes till everyone got over to fishermans worf with the two of us and from there everyone headed to treasure island where a few people were waiting. so here we all are,(pictures from treasure island are below btw) and we're all hangin out and someone tells me i should run walter i believe his name is, in his 328i(auto) and my 325i(stick) so i thought hell why not, so he and i head down to the end of this long parking lot and line up. now i was totally up for this run, but apparently my clutch wasn't, unbeknown to me... so i bring it to like 2000 rpms, and i tell walter to honk us down but he insists that i do so i do, 3, 2, 1, and after the third honk i ended up over reving and pop the clutch way to hard, pushing through to the top i first i started to pull on him, i punch it into second and let out the clutch and basically nothing happened, a whole bunch of noise but no grab,(hmmmm this is bad) so i shut down and coast to the finish with walter walking away and i park and think, well its still moving so its not all bad, and suddenly there arose an aroma that is unmistakeable, bar BQ'd clutch.... so that was the end of my runs so now everyone has the itch to race so ernie and jeff take off to the end and run a couple'a times, but ill let them tell the story... well it was getting late and ernie and i end up leaving for home, and we hop on 580 towards town, now im babying my car trying to save the clutch from exploding. and it was doing fine until we hit livermore, and i start hearing this squeaking noise from the motor and again came the smell, so i hop off the closest exit and to my surprise, it wasn't the clutch, my belt tensioner decided to FALL off and the serpentine belt decided to make string cheese of it self, so longer story short i had to go back and get my car thismorning from livermore and tow it to freakin lodi... one hell of a saturday if you ask me

well here are the pics from treasure island... hope you enjoy and sorry about this bein so long but there was a crap ton to say, and too bad some of you guys from the bay didn't make it. woulda been cool...

hmmm interesting i happen to be in San francisico this weekend to visit my sick sister. in fact i'm still here right now but i gotta fly back to new york later though, i honestly didn't think the there would be much hooked up cars here because the hills are too damn steep and i know my car can't physically be here because the center of my car would bottom out at the top of hte hill and my front bumper and intercooler would scrap at the bottom of the hill. also there doesn't seem like much places to race either becasue of those damn trolly tracks and they get in the way and the rest of hte places that dn't have trolly tracks are hills!!!
