94 Throttle Body Help neededssjones 03-25-2006, 12:02 PM Cross posting here in hopes of getting some advice. No one on the LeSabre forum seems to have any input, I'm getting desparate! I'm hoping someone with a V6-3.8L has had experience removing the throttle body (on my '94 LeSabre). See relevant thread information at: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=542590 Any help appreciated, that TB has to come off for the new Throttle Position Sensor. maxwedge 03-25-2006, 04:02 PM autozone.com/repairinfo for step by step, just enter you car in the repair info section. ssjones 03-26-2006, 04:29 PM Thanks for idea. I have the Haynes manual, the Autozone repair info is even more generic: "Unfasten the TP sensor's attaching screws, then remove the TP sensor from the throttle body." Yeah, right! Another list member said he got a few off with an offset screwdriver, I'm going back in now for a 2nd attempt. -Josh- 04-26-2006, 10:48 AM Remove the throttle linkage, mounting bracket, unplug sensors and remove screws, how hard is that? ssjones 04-26-2006, 09:36 PM Remove the throttle linkage, mounting bracket, unplug sensors and remove screws, how hard is that? Well a month ago, it was challenging. There is no need to remove any linkage, just unplug TPS sensor, remove four bolts and bingo. Unfortunately one mounting bolt is covered by a bracket, which runs directly behind the exhaust manifold. Couldn't get a socket on it or a wrench. A 13 mm stubby wrench just got it off, of course I didn't own a set of stubby wrenches. I do now. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
