Strange "loose" feeling in rear in an 89 Honda Accord coupe

2 door, LXi, 89 Honda Accord, around 140k miles, etc etc etc... in the first bit of a turn, it feels almost like the rear end "kicks out" - not too horribly bad, but a strange feeling.

The same "looseness" becomes apparent in high-speed manuevering, which means one little sweve becomes a fair annoyance (rear end shimmies, so I correct, etc - end up swerving back and forth more than I really should for one minor dodge)


Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm assuming this isn't just "normal behavior"?

I'm not sure, but if I had to guess I would say that your struts are worn out or maybe one of them is broken. Post this question in the Technical forum also, you might get better results there.
