94 Bonny Radio compatability

I have a 94 bonny SE with a delco cd player with the seven band equilizer, and I don't know if the unit is shot or what but the only thing that works is the clock display only if I hit the recall button or the 4 or 6 preset buttons. Is it fixable? I have a buddy that has a radio/tape deck from a 98 bonny, is that compatable with my 94 where I can just switch it out? Thanks for the help.
