Where is the pcv valve on 3.1 Lumina?delicatedelinquent 03-22-2006, 05:24 PM Hi I keep buying the pcv valve and they do not fit into the crankcase cover.. is there a special place for it on this engine? richtazz 03-23-2006, 01:53 PM It's under the upper plenum, in the center of the lower intake manifold. Longknocker 03-23-2006, 02:53 PM I believe , if you are standing right in front of the car, you should be able to see it pretty easy. kinda located in the center part of the motor.. Richtazz's explanation was much better than mine......:grinyes: richtazz 03-23-2006, 03:36 PM Actually Longknocker, it depends on the year. The 94-older 3.1's are where I said, and the 95-newer are in the front valve cover on the driver side. I'm glad you posted, because I "assumed" it was an older one, and may have mislead delicatedelinquent. Thanks. Longknocker 03-23-2006, 03:55 PM Actually Longknocker, it depends on the year. Iwas not sure about the location on the older ones, but i am glad that you did.......:naughty: 91EURO3.1L 03-27-2006, 11:31 AM It's under the upper plenum, in the center of the lower intake manifold. do you have to remove the upper plenum to get to the pcv valve? Longknocker 03-27-2006, 11:37 AM do you have to remove the upper plenum to get to the pcv valve? I am lost on the older models, Richtazz or some of the others will have to help you on that one. larry221 03-27-2006, 01:34 PM I just did my PCV on a 91 lumina 3.1. Its a bitch to get to. Its in the REAR valve cover next to the firewall. If you take off the front motor mounts and rock engine foreward you can get to it. Then its pretty easy. Good time to put new plugs in too if you need em. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
