do u know wut it feels like when an engine msses? casue i was going up to advance to get a new brake rotor cause mine was worped and when i got to turn the corner just before it i stepped on gas and its like some one put the brakes on, it just stopped then went. now after putting the rotor on i went down the street to get brakes adjusted and then i gt to end then go to turn and i see a car like 1/4 of a mile down the road so i floor it and it just jerked really hard and souned like something snaped. then it stoped and then i decided to go the other way to go back home. what could this be? wut does it feel like when the head gasket blows?

well.. if it is misfiring then your only hitting one cylinder when it does but i highly doubt thats the problem. when misfiring it may have very little acceloration, but doesnt make sound. it sounds kinda like the engine runs fine for a split second and then for a fraction of a second doesnt make a sound. thats what a misfire sounds like. head gaskets do not make a snapping sound when it blows. you cant even tell at first most of the time. are you sure it's the engine? could be your transmission or clutch man... like when you hit the gas from a slow speed it could be that your tranny isnt engaging like it should into the proper gear, putting it in a way high gear, and your engine is running in too low of an rpm/car is to slow speed to handle that gear at the time causing your engine and car to jerk..... is it auto or standard??

have you checked your wheel bearings? i had heard of a person where the bearings were so worn out in the back but couldnt tell that they were that sometimes when he went down the road there were only 3 balls supporting in the bearing and when one of them got out of alignment it would feel like the car hit a tree and made a loud crashing sound but then would keep going like normal...

it is auto. i was thinking it could have been something with the brake casue i pusshed the caliper back in nd it could have just been ajusting but i dubt it. one other thing i tought of when i woke up I FORGOT TO TIGHTEN HE DAMN LUGNUTS ON THE GROUND!!!!! but yet they still be tight from when i tightened them in the air. i have been having problems with the trany if u see in another post about rough shifting. like the one kid said the torque converter went and mine might be on its last stages.

If it bucks it the either the TPS sensor or vacuum hoses. If its just bogging down like its not getting gas then check spark plugs and wires along with air filter and agian vacuum hoses.

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT IS!!!:screwy:
its called the "lockup silinoid". it's a crappy little peice that is inside your tranny that yes locks the torque converter *dont know whats up with that but it's a gas saving deal that may save you about oh... 1mpg?* you can do something about it and keep going BUT!!!!!

:evillol: ***WARNING***:evillol:
IF YOU HAVE AN OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSION DO NOT DO THIS!!!
IF YOU DO, YOUR TRANSMISSION WILL BURN UP AND YOU WILL LOOK STUPID AND I WILL LAUGH AT YOU CAUSE YOU CANNOT SUE ME FOR TELLING YOU THIS CAUSE I SAID SO... HAH!!!

but...

if you have a 3 speed automatic transmission WITHOUT overdrive, simply find the pigtail to the lockup silinoid and disconnect, then make sure it's out of harms way, flip the nearest person off and gleefully haul ass

hahaha? yeah im not laughing. mostly in part cause every frickin' thing is special about this peice of shit. the 2.3l quad 4 was only used in 95 for the cav. z24 (mine), sunfires, and the grand am... on the other hand... it's just as strong and as fast as the 2.4l, actually better at low gear accelleration, but not so good for high gear accelleration. mainly due in part by the slightly shorter stroke and heads. but then hey, i can still smoke a 2.0/2.2/AND 2.4 in 1/4 mi. :) and thats for stock!

so HAHAHA all you want, it's all good.:evillol:
