89-turbo stalling problem240 08-11-2001, 04:06 PM Can anyone here tell me why would an 89 Turbo Supra stall? The guy who is selling it tells me that it is because of the Blitz blow-off valve that he installed on it, is that possible? The car drives fine when you keep the RMPs low (in the 1500-3000 range), but when you bring it up past about 5000 RPM, when the needle comes back down the engine dies. Is this a big problem or not? And will it be cured with a stock, HKS, Greddy, or A'PEXi blow-off valves? Any help would be appreciated as I am purchasing this car after this weekend. suprafan 08-11-2001, 04:41 PM yes a aftermarket bov can cause stalling problems and is probably not needed if he is running around stock or a little above stock boost levals have him put the stock bov on it or replace with the new HKS ssbov which will address the above stalling problems DZ 240 08-15-2001, 03:33 PM Thank you for the information. I already bought the car and will try the HKS blow-off when I get a chance. barndawg 10-23-2001, 11:30 AM :alien: hey man let me know if you need help i have an 88 turbo i can give you some easy and chesp HP tricks im boosting constantly at 11-12 psi without fuel cut hehehe i can tell you how remember you get 8hp per pound of boost you add just let me know look at profile or email me at barndawg@midsouth.rr.com and if you still have the blitz blow off valve i have a stock one if you want it ill be happy to take the blitz for a little cash your way. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
